President’s Experience

Vietnam Veteran
ACME Services, LLC is owned and operated by Mr. Joe Crawford a Vietnam era Veteran with significant qualifications in Aviation, Training, Safety, and Simulation Technologies. Colonel (Ret) Crawford served 32 years in the U.S. Army. During his military career he held a wide variety of leadership and higher level staff positions. Through out his career he commanded both ground and aviation units. He flew a wide variety of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft. He served two tours of duty in Viet Nam where he flew over 1000 combat hours. While assigned to the U.S. Army Aviation School and Center at Ft. Rucker AL he was instrumental in the development of Aviation Training Doctrine for the Aviation School and aviation units through the army. On subsequent tours of duty at the Army Aviation School he served as a primay flight school instructor. A certified Safety Officer, Mr. Crawford developed and implemented safety programs for many of the units he commanded. In addition, he served in other highly demanding safety positions such as commander of the U.S. Army Safety Center.

Since retiring from the army Mr. Crawford has persued a second career in aviation and training, working with companies such as Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford CT , BDM Aerospace Albuquerque NM, SBS Engineering Albuquerque NM, and Dual Inc. Lake Mary FL . In addition to operating Acme Services LLC he also serves as Executive Vice President for ACME Worldwide Enterprises, Inc., an engineering manufacturing and services company that provides flight simulators and other training devices to government and commercial customers.
